If you're interested in joining a small group of like minded people in learning a new skill, you've come to the right place! Maggie Moo are now running workshops in Keynsham and we'd love you to come along! You bring your machine and chosen fabric, I'll provide sewing accessories, tuition, drinks and cake. Simply select your workshop and preferred dates and use the contact page to book a place. If you have a few friends and would like to book your own session, that works too, just get in touch! All classes are for a maximum of 6 people. Workshops run from 10am - 1pm, Tuesdays and Thursdays and are £25 per person.
Beginners Sewing- perhaps your machine is lying dusty in a cupboard somewhere or you have things to make but not sure where to start? This workshop will give you a full orientation of your machine and give you the chance to try out a few stitches before going on to make an envelope back cushion (like the ones above) or a tote bag.. You'll need one metre of mid weight fabric for this workshop.
Vintage Apron Making - you'll learn how to make a vintage inspired apron with gathered trim and pockets. Soon you can be a domestic goddess and prance about the kitchen singing Doris Day. You'll need 1 metre of quilt weight fabric and any additional trims you'd like to incorporate.
Knicker Making - You haven't really lived until you've strutted down the high street in a pair of pants that you've made yourself, so if you're already confident with your machine, come along and learn how to get to grips with elastic and gussets and make a pair of stunning knickers. Just imagine how exciting your gift making is going to get after this!
